My name is Dave and I'm a retired physician and amateur astronomer, so most people call me Dr Dave. I created DrDave's RV Odyssey because I suddenly became immersed in it when I realized it was the best way to explore the darkest skies in North America. I knew zero about RVing but had no choice but to learn, sometimes the hard way! Since I started this journey 3 years ago along with my wife Cathy, our activities have expanded to include biking, hiking and fishing, not to mention just sight seeing at some really cool places. I hope this blog inspires you to go out and see what's out there! There are so many amazing places. And perhaps you will learn something about RVing, great places to bike and visit as well as astrophotography on the road.
